Saturday 5K

Saturday 5K

If you keep going the way you are, what time will you finish in?

One tap starts it. From then on it measures you with GPS and shows the time you are on for — updating every 100 metres, in figures big enough to read without breaking stride. The number turns green when it comes down and red when it goes up, so one glance tells you whether the last hundred metres helped.

There is nothing to set up. No target to type in, no menus, no distance to pick.

What it does

Honest by design

Every number is arithmetic on the run you are in — hold this pace and you finish in X. It is not a prediction of your future fitness, and it is not coaching. That distinction is deliberate, and the app will show you nothing rather than show you a number it cannot stand behind.

Does it actually work?

Two Saturdays running, its 5 km time has landed within a few seconds of an official finish-line clock — once on the phone, once on an Apple Watch on someone else's wrist at the same event.

Free for half the distance

Saturday 5K is free, and not in a nagging way: you get the whole app over 2.5 km — half the distance — as many times as you like, forever. Not a countdown of free goes, not a stopwatch that dies halfway. A complete race at half distance: the live prediction, the split alerts, your 2.5 km time locking in at the line, and every run saved and ranked against your others.

When you want the full five kilometres, it's $9.99 once and it's yours — on your iPhone and your Apple Watch, on every device you sign in with. No subscription, ever. It's a stopwatch that does arithmetic; charging rent for that would be absurd.

Yours alone

No account, analytics or advertising. Saturday 5K does not send your running data to us. GPS is processed on your device, and Apple Watch workouts stay in Apple Health. See the privacy policy — it is short, because there is very little to say.
