Privacy policy

Saturday 5K does not collect your data. There is no account, analytics or advertising, and no developer-operated server. The app does not send your running data to us or to third parties.
Location
While a run is in progress the app reads your location from GPS in order to measure how far you have gone. That is the whole purpose of the permission. Location is used on your device, in the moment, to add up distance — it is not stored as a route or a map, it is not transmitted anywhere, and it is not shared with anyone.
The app asks for location "while in use" and keeps measuring with the screen off during a run, which is why it declares background location. It stops when you finish the run.
Health data (Apple Watch)
The Apple Watch app records your run as a normal workout. To do that it reads distance and heart rate from HealthKit during the run, and writes the finished workout — distance, heart rate, active energy and per-kilometre laps — back to the Health app, so the run appears alongside your others and counts towards your rings.
That data stays inside Apple's Health system on your own devices. Saturday 5K does not copy it anywhere else, and health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Your runs
Finished runs are stored on your iPhone. A run recorded on the watch is passed to the phone over Apple's device-to-device Watch Connectivity link. Deleting a run in the app deletes it; deleting the app removes them all.
You can explicitly export a backup file from Settings and save or share it using Apple's standard share sheet. Saturday 5K does not receive that file. Restoring a backup reads only the file you select.
Purchases
If the app offers a paid unlock, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Saturday 5K never sees your payment details. All the app stores is whether a purchase exists.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date.
